Check out this cool macro video (and photo) feature in the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max. Btw, this feature is not mentioned in any Apple literature or support docs I can find, so it really is hidden until you stumble on it...
Btw, if you watched until near the end (and you should've!) I mentioned the new "Macro Controls" button under Camera Settings... I show how when you activate this it then puts a yellow Macro icon on the screen so you know when you're actually shooting Macro - and this is great.
BUT, what I didn't know is that you can actually press on the Macro icon when it pops on the screen to then turn it OFF. This is also great as sometimes you don't want it to automatically switch. Then you press it again (the icon is now white and has a slash across it showing it's "off") and it'll go back to using auto Macro mode. And so this is actually another HIDDEN feature to check out. :)
Below is the short film "Macrocosm" I mentioned in the video too. This was shot using the Moment 10mm Macro lens...
So do you know about the hidden macro feature? And do you shoot macro video or photos very often? Let me know in the comments here or on YouTube or hit me up on Twitter.
Happy filmmaking!
